Smiley Cookie Jack O' Lantern Cookies

Brand: Smiley Cookie

Product: Gourmet Jack O' Lantern Cookies

Price: $14.99

Link To Product:
 Smileycookie.com

What It Does: Brings a smile to your face :)

Review: Okay so today's review is a little bit different but you know what?  Halloween's coming up so why not!  I was sent a box of Halloween cookies by Smileycookie.com.  They come packaged in an adorable smiley face gift box but I was disappointed that the cookies themselves are placed in a plastic box that make them look like $3 cookies from the grocery store.

The cookies came decorated with a frosted pumpkin/jack-o-lantern face and are perfect to send to your loved ones for Halloween or any occasion as they offer tons of themes.  The cookies are reasonable priced and start at $12.99 but beware you have to pay extra for shipping.  They taste like your typical frosted sugar cookie (hard cookie) and while aren't necessarily super gourmet, they're absolutely perfect for kids and parties.

And don't forget to "like" Smiley Cookie on Facebook for 20% off your order!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Amore Pacific Time Response Eye Renewal Creme

Brand: Amore Pacific

Product:
 Time Response Eye Renewal Creme

Price: $260.00

Link To Product: Nieman Marcus

What It Does: This restorative treatment improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, darkness, and puffiness in the delicate eye area by stimulating collagen production, controlling melanin production, and improving hydration levels.

Scent: strong perfume smell

Texture: creamy balm

Review: If you're looking for the ultimate eye cream than the Amore Pacific Time Response Eye Renewal cream is the creme de la creme.  Of course I would expect nothing less from the ultimate Korean luxury beauty brand, Amore Pacific.  The ultra rich balm-like texture sinks nicely into the skin and a little goes a long way.  And it feels like an absolute dream upon application!

This cream contains 63 active botanical ingredients that deeply moisturize, correct hyper-pigmentation, reduce inflammation, increase cellular turnover, and provide antioxidant protection. I noticed immediate results as it instantly plumped and moisturized the skin around my eyes.  It also contains tiny reflective particles to brighten and whiten you eye area.

As wonderful as the Amore Pacific Time Response Eye Renewal cream is, luxury doesn't come cheap! At $260 a jar, this is the ultimate splurge.  To add to it's exclusiveness this eye cream is only available at Nieman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

Cosmedicine Primary Care Multi-Tasking Moisturizer

Brand: Cosmedicine

Product:
Primary Care Multi-Tasking Moisturizer

Price: $37.60

Link To Product: SkincareRX

What It Does:
Hydrates and heals while protecting skin.  Provides 65% reduction in skin dryness, 31% improvement of fine lines and wrinkles, and 71% increase in free-radical protection.  This intense moisturizer uses a blend of ingredients such as Avobenzone and Dimethicone to revive.

Scent: Mild sunscreen smell

Texture: watery cream

Review:  I don't normally like using sunscreens as a daily moisturizer but I've made an exception for this product!  I've already gone through two tubes and it's seriously awesome!

This Cosmedicine moisturizer contains a decent SPF 20 and has a mild sunscreen smell but there is no white cast and I love how it's both moisturizing AND mattifying.  It contains dimethicone (a common ingredient in most make-up primers) so it also creates a great make-up base so your foundation goes on smoothly.  They were on point naming this the "multi-tasking" moisturizer!

My only gripe is Cosmedicine was discontinued at Sephora and even Cosmedicine.com phased this product out -- there are some sites that still carry it such as Skincarerx.com, so I will be stocking up while I can!

Ren Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask

Brand: Ren

Product:
 Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask

Price: $55

Link To Product: Sephora

What It DoesThis treatment safely and effectively resurfaces the skin, without causing irritation. Its four-fruit-acid-complex (lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric) and papain enzyme create a gentle-yet-potent exfoliating action that leaves skin glowing and healthy.

Scent: Bubble gum & Citrusy

Texture: Thick Gel

Review: I think Ren is definitely one of those underrated beauty brands -- they actually have really great products but hardly ever get exposure.

This is a very interesting product in that it's both a peel and a mask.
The thick gel-like texture smells like a mixture of bubble gum and citrus -- I would not call it pleasant at all.  You apply it to your face like a mask and leave it on for 10 minutes.  There's a slight tingling but it doesn't burn like a peel although it definitely is a peel as it contains lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric acids.

After 10 minutes you wash it off with a wash cloth.  My face was a little pink but no real irritation.  After a few days my cheeks started to peel slightly but nothing a little moisturizer couldn't fix.  Afterwards my skin was glowing and luminous.

This mask is recommended for congested skin as well as acne scars, blemishes, blackheads, and sun damage.  I think it's perfect for those of you who wanted to try a chemical peel but want to try out something gentler first.  This is safe and perfect to apply at home while getting similar to salon effects.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Brand: Too Faced

Product: Shadow Insurance

Price: $18.00

Link To Product: Sephora

What It Does: This is your full-coverage insurance policy against all fading, creasing, melting, blurring, oil slicked, and hard-to-blend eyeshadow accidents. Our silicone based eyeshadow primer transforms any eyeshadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly until you take it off. This soothing formula evens out the skin tone on your lids and smoothes lines while securing a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup, so no shadow catastrophes will ever happen again.

Scent: None

Texture: like a liquid concealer or foundation

Review:  This is one of the most highly rated eye primers -- and with good reason!  It's formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, dyes, petrochemicals, or phthalates -- as if I know what half of those mean haha.  The tiniest squeeze spreads nicely and is plenty for both lids.  I almost feel like this is like a regular liquid concealer -- the color is a creamy nude that neutralizes the color of your lids and takes away any "slick" instantly.  It will make even the cheapest and crappiest eye shadows pop and the color lasts all day.  Although the tube looks small, a little goes a long way and this it will probably last me years!
