What It Does:
Texture: light and lotiony
Review: The first thing I noticed about this primer is the texture -- it felt like a light moisturizer as opposed to other primers which have that "slippery feel." Instead of sitting on top of your skin, the MAC Skin Base Visage blends into the skin and leaves a matte, smooth canvas. I checked the ingredients and it does contain silicones, so it does still protect your skin and pores from makeup sinking into it.
The nice thing about this is the finish it leaves on your skin -- works well for the days you don't want to wear make up as it evens out the complexion, brightens the skin, and absorbs oil. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it kept my oiliness at bay. As for make-up days, it creates the perfect base for liquid and powder foundation and really helps it stay put -- keeping your make-up looking fresh for hours.
